Welcome to our Site!

Constructivism in Brief:
Constructivism is a theory of knowledge development, in which the learner plays the central role in building their own meanings and understandings based upon the information they acquire and the experiences they undergo. While constructivist learning often occurs within a social context, the resulting knowledge is individualized, as students incorporate what they have learned into already existing structures. While not a specific pedagogy, constructivism can inform educational practices and guide teachers into building or remodeling elements of their classes to better support the individual learning experiences of students.
